Taurus Woodwork is a locally owned and operated finishing carpentry, architectural millwork, and custom cabinetry business, servicing the greater Edmonton area.
Established in 2002, we started out as a team of three with a passion for craft and dedication to quality. We have since grown to a team of over a dozen skilled employees, ready to serve all of your finishing needs. Our company has evolved from basic finishing carpentry, to the elaborate custom designs you see today.
Along with professional finishing, we specialize in skillfully designed custom built-ins, tailored to each client’s needs and requests. From bench seats to wine cellars, we work closely with our clients throughout the entire process from design conception, through construction and installation.
Each of our custom pieces is handcrafted by our experienced team of cabinetmakers to ensure you get the highest quality and most unique designs possible, every time. We strive to help you create a home that fulfills your vision, needs, and budget.
Meet our team
Corry Wood
Corry has been a finishing carpenter since 1988 and was one of the Co Founders of Taurus Woodwork in 2002. Corry has helped build the solid reputation that Taurus has earned over the years with his keen attention to detail.
Kevin Metcalfe
Kevin Metcalfe has been a cabinet maker since 2001. He started out his cabinet making apprenticeship building custom furniture and in 2005 became partners with Corry Wood and transitioned into his finishing career. Kevin has had a passion for woodworking since building his first piece of furniture in high school shop class.
Nik Palek
Nik is the Shop foreman and lead hand on site. He started working at Taurus right out of high school in 2011, and has been an integral part of the team for over 10 years.
